NUMBERS and MATH
Tangram free offers 60 puzzles to solve with a traditional set of tangrams. You can also purchase the paid version that contains 150 puzzles. This tangram app is colorful and the pieces are easy for young students to move and place.
Similar to the above app but has simple, one color pieces if distraction is an issue. I like the easy way the student can turn and position the pieces in this app.
Slice It! Begins is the free version of this app that introduces students to fractions by asking them to slice a shape into a number of equal pieces. This app gives them partial rewards if the student is "close".
Montessori Approach to Math
There are multiple apps for Math from Montessori. This is a creative way for students to practice their addition facts.
Play one of the 56 different math missions. Each mission has touchable objects floating in space, including stars, coins, clocks, 3D shapes and even pizzas! Earn a bronze, silver or gold medal and also try to beat your high score. Missions range in difficulty from even/odd numbers all the way to square roots, so kids and their parents will enjoy hours of fun while learning math.
Maths with Springbird is a fun and educational game designed for children aged 4-6 years old.
Finger Count is a fun way to learn the numbers and numerical order. The free version has fewer features.
